About
Cutlery Knives
Cutlery knives are the tools of the kitchen chef. The quality of your kitchen knife
whether you area 5 star chef or a stay at mom, will determine the joy and quality of the
food you prepare. As your kitchen knife glides and cuts through meats, vegetables
and fruits, the ease at which you are able to do this will greatly effect the kind of
foods you create, and how often you are willing to cook for the family. Are
professional standard cutlery knives suitable for a home kitchen? Absolutely!
If you are dead serious about the food you are preparing for your family, then it's very
important that you use the right tools. Using the right knife can mean the
difference between joy in the kitchen and a frustrated ex-cook.
The sharpness of the knife, the heaviness of the meat cleaver all determine how much you
can enjoy your time in the kitchen. I believe that cooking is an art form. An
art form you can eat, breathe, smell and taste. An art form you can literally share
with your friends and family and enjoy the experience of touching, feeling, smelling ...
OHHH MMMMMMMMM! There is no other art form that rivals the art of cooking.
Buy a good professional cutlery set. It is worth the investment. Sharp knives
are safe. Dull, flimsy knives are dangerous. More people get hurt, get cut and
injure themselves in the kitchen due to dull, old or worn out knives. If your knife
is flimsy and unstable, throw them away or use them for something else other than cooking
and preparing your family's meals.
Keep your knife sharp. Many of today's professional knives don't require sharpening.
The ceramic knives by Kyocera for example cannot be sharpened, unless sent in to
the factory. This may seem like a hassle, but this is a rare occurence and one that
needs to be done probably every 5 years. This ensures that your knife will remain
sharp, and professionally maintained. Many high end knife manufacturer's will
sharpen your knife for free and guarantee the workmanship for a lifetime. They will
replace your knife if they are ever damaged or dull. How about that?
